Corrections come first

If a figure or a spec in an article is wrong, tell us. Our numbers come from measuring the thing ourselves or from copying what is printed on the box, which means the article goes stale the day a maker revises the print. Send these three and we will fix the body text and note what changed and when.

The conditions it holds under (device, OS and settings split a lot of these)

Review units and partnerships

If you send a product, we state at the top of that article that we received it. We do not accept terms that require a favourable write-up. Include the model name, the spec as printed on the box (it often differs from the listing), and whether you want it returned. We publish after at least two weeks of daily use, so earlier dates are hard to meet.

What we cannot answer

Fault diagnosis. We cannot name a cause without seeing the device. Our test tools exist so you can split it yourself in about 30 seconds.
Recommendations for gear we have not used. We say "we do not know" instead.
